Melted Crayon art

Today's lesson was melting crayons onto a canvas.

Firstly we picked a design and cut out our silhouette or shape.
Then we coloured in the picture with a permanent marker or cut out the shape we wanted to keep crayon free.
Then we hot glued the crayons onto the top of the canvas.

Let the fun begin.  Our next step was to use the hair dryer and melt the crayons onto the canvas.  This was great fun and it wasn't long before the brothers of the crafty girls, who are usually playing outside, were in amongst it wanting to make their own.
